Our project is mainly focused on the sale and donations of books, thanks to the digitization that we are experiencing today with this project we seek and we want to reach all types of public thanks to both smart devices and the internet, but this is not only It is here but we also want to reach so many vulnerable families who do not have access to the internet or the resources to have the aforementioned smart devices, thanks to the help of our users we will be able to reach this goal, in our donations section we will have the opportunity by donating both digital and physical books, thanks to this we will be able to reach both institutions with limited resources and the aforementioned families, this project was developed by a group of passionate about development, in this group we present a cultural variety since our leader Ever Gonzales and myself (Isaac De La Hoz) are from the part of the C coast Olombiana, while our other colleagues, Sebastian Obando, Emmanuel Palacio and Hector Orozco are from the interior of the country, thanks to this we were able to develop an excellent project and not only that but thanks to the union of the group we were able to know a little more about each culture . Our approach with this project has always been to do our bit to improve education in our country and give all our users the opportunity to fall in love with reading and find it a motivation to move forward and fulfill their dreams. Personally, I find a lot of affinity with this project not only because I was one of the people who carried out this wonderful idea but since I was little and now I have always seen the few opportunities that many people have, either for the economic part or for anything else. Since I come from a town called Ariguaní, El Difícil Magdalena where I could realize that if you do not have the economic capacities or some cone which can give you some kind of help, you will not be able to access a quality education, Thanks to Books4u I personally want to give all these young people the opportunity to have a site where they can feel comfortable reading about topics of interest to them or where they can have information to carry out their tasks.
Speaking a little more technologically, we implement the stock of technologies known as MERN
Thanks to all the documentation that there is regarding these technologies, learning and implementing MERN made it easy for us, on the front-end we used HTML5, CSS3 and REACT, on the back-end we used Node.js and Express. js we also implemented several google APIs which helped us develop Logins among other things. Thanks to agile methodologies we were able to efficiently handle all of our time and homework assignments.
Although we were able to develop our idea in an excellent way along the way, we had many problems, to be a bit in context we had mainly proposed a solution in which Python and MYSQL were involved as back-end but thanks to an error that really we could not solve and we made the decision to move all our back-end to Node.js which was not an easy decision thanks to all the advances we already had, this was not the only problem we had but also thanks to the fact that we implemented technologies that We had not worked before, many things were difficult for us, but thanks to the documentation and tutorials we were able to easily implement these new technologies. Thanks to this project the learning was very great, I think we had a brief test of what the real world is, also thanks to this project I was able to learn and decide on a path that I really like which is the front-end but learning What left this project was not only something technical but we were able to take a more human learning, rather we had a great learning of soft-skills in which we see outstanding teamwork, leadership of sprints and internally created sub-groups In the team, everything that you can achieve with an excellent team of developers is really satisfactory and more than these friends who leave these projects, the value of developing a project like this cannot really be described in words, see what could be done Performing with a lot of discipline, passion and above all teamwork is very nice when you see the results of your team, my invitation with all this is that we all encourage ourselves to carry out projects. Talking a bit about myself as a developer, I describe myself as a young man who is very passionate about everything he does, a person who accepts many challenges, eager to learn and improve day by day, all this may sound a bit cliché but really It’s how I feel right now, I think I have the ability to adapt very easily to any work environment and give 100% of myself.
